I would like to thank you for visiting our website and for considering the Academy of Creative Thinking (ACT) as your preschool of choice.

Children are born learners.  They have an innate desire to hear, smell, touch, taste, and see things.  They are naturally curious and like to create.  In our age of uncertainty, we know that there are few places that provide a strong sense of community and care for the children.  At ACT students, faculty, and parents will find exactly that.  We invite you to experience ACT through the process of applying for admission.

I know that placing your child in a preschool is one of the most important decisions you will make.  “The atmosphere of the classroom, the attitudes of the teacher, and the aptitudes of the students all play a part in fostering creativity” (Sawyers, Moran, and Tegano 1991).  We at ACT believe that by providing the proper environment, we can encourage your child’s creativity and that through our guidance we can enhance their creativity skills in the classroom.

In their report titled “Why Children Need to Play in School” Miller and Almond write that, “Young children work hard at play…They know what they want to do and work diligently to do it. Because their motivation comes from within, they learn the powerful lesson of pursuing their own ideas to a successful conclusion.”  At ACT we aim to stimulate the creativity that lies within your child.

I am excited to have your child become part of our family.  Your participation as a partner with us in your child’s early learning experience is critical to his/her growth. We not only see creativity in music, art, and poetry but also in the wonders of reading, science, social studies, math, and more.
